Aimee Babcock-Ellis is currently the Librarian at the Drug Enforcement Administration. Her former positions include Reference and Web Assistant at the Nonprint Media Services Library- University of Maryland, College Park, Career Enhancement Fellow at the National Library of Medicine and Library Informationist at the Johns Hopkins Bayview Medical Center. She has lectured at the University of Maryland, teaching seniors to find reliable Health information on the internet and teaching undergraduates about the library and how to use the libraries' resources. She received her MLS in 2010 from the University of Maryland College Park and has certification in Consumer Health Information.
Marianne E. Giltrud is the Acting Access Services Librarian at CUA and she is an Adjunct faculty member for SLIS, teaching 553, Information Sources and Services. She also completed her MLS at CUA in 2007 and received a Post Masters in Intellectual Property and Knowledge Management in 2008.Marianne is President Emeritus of the Catholic University School of Library and Information Science Alumni Board and a member of the Program Planning committee for DCSLA. Her specializations include library technology and content management systems, information discovery and retrieval, and Open Source and Open Access.
Aileen Marshall is an Information Specialist and Librarian for the National Transportation Library at the U.S. Department of Transportation. She has a Masters in English Linguistics from Germanna Community College and an MLIS from the University of South Carolina-Columbia. In the past, she has worked as a Reference Librarian and later a Law Librarian at the Central Rappahannock Regional Library. In between these two positions, she was a Librarian at the Peumansend Creek Regional Jail. This past February, she had an article on the importance of library services in our nation's jails and prisons published in Information Outlook.
Bruce Rosenstein is currently Managing Editor for the journal Leader to Leader. He serves as an adjunct faculty member for SLIS, teaching LSC 888, The Special Library/Information Center. From 2009 to 2011, Bruce was a writer for the Office of Institutional Research, Planning and Assessment at Northern Virginia Community College. His book Living in More Than One World: How Peter Drucker's Wisdom Can Inspire and Transform Your Life was published by Berrett-Koehler in 2009. He received his MLS in 1987 from CUA. For 21 years, Bruce was a librarian for USA TODAY.
David Shumaker is a Clinical Associate Professor here at CUA. He specializes in Embedded Librarianship and a great deal of his writing is on that topic. He is a member of DCSLA and serves as the faculty advisor for CUA's SLA group. He recieved his MS in Library and Information Science from Drexel University and has another Masters in Management from the University of Maryland. He teaches the courses Libraries and Information in Society, Information Sources and Services, information Systems in Libraries and Information Centers, Management, and Marketing Library and Information Services. Mary Talley is a Senior Consultant and Project Director for Axelroth & Associates, a library and information management consulting company, where she specializes in assessing and evolving information processes, organizational structures, and customer service programs and develops change management strategies for special libraries. She has previously worked as a Librarian and Library Director. Mary obtained her MLS from the University of Michigan. She is currently President of DC/SLA.
Chris Vestal is a Supervisory Patent Researcher at ASRC Management Services. He is currently serving as Communications Director of DC/SLA and is the Editor-in-Chief for the DC/SLA newsletter. He recieved his MLIS from Drexel University in 2008 and now specializes in Dialog, IEEE and Lexis Nexis.
